Hakodate is my home in Japan. Even though few places in Japan are more deserving of a visit, I rarely see foreign tourists here, so introducing Hakodate's charm to the world is the primary reason for creating this guide. Another reason is personal, as writing this motivates me to explore my adopted home even further. Finally, I am hopeful that this guide will encourage you to visit Hakodate.
